New York Times Features Assistant Professor Rebekah Hanousek-Monge’s Efforts to Help Seniors Receive COVID-19 Vaccine
Mercy College School of Business Assistant Professor Rebekah Hanousek-Monge was quoted in a New York Times article about New Yorkers coming together to help seniors and other eligible individuals schedule COVID-19 vaccination appointments.
The article, “,” highlights a Facebook group started by Hanousek-Monge called , an online community interested in helping those who have difficulty navigating the vaccine scheduling system make vaccination appointments.
Created less than one month ago, Hanousek-Monge’s Facebook group has grown from a group of 77 members to about 1,500 members who have made hundreds of appointments for people in need of assistance, many of whom are in their 80s and 90s.
