Laura Proszak

Laura Proszak joined the Department of Literature and Language in 2019 as an Assistant Professor of English and Composition Coordinator. Laura holds a Ph.D. in English 鈥 Rhetoric and Composition from Northeastern University and a BA and MA from Tulane University. She also holds certifications in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Archival Studies and Digital Humanities. Laura teaches first-year composition and upper-level writing and rhetoric courses. Laura's research centers on composition pedagogy, rhetorical education, embodied and material rhetorics, cultural rhetorics, and archival studies. Her current research project examines rhetorical education at late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century manual training schools in Boston and New York.
