Transferring From a Community College
Are you currently attending community college? Have you completed your associate's degree and are looking to move on to your bachelor's? Whatever your reasons for transferring from a community college to a university, Mercy makes the process as seamless and speedy as possible.
Is Transferring From a Community College Different Than Transferring From a Four-Year University?
At Mercy, the transfer process is similar for four-year and community college students. Thanks to our articulation agreements, many students from community colleges experience a faster transfer process — you could be closer to earning your degree than you think! Maximize the number of credits you can transfer in, and kickstart your education at Mercy.

Yes! At Mercy, we help make college more affordable for everyone. We offer generous financial aid through scholarships, grants and work-study positions. Once you become a Maverick, we can continue to provide guidance and help you find financial aid solutions as your needs change.
How to Get Started Transferring From a Community College
Before transferring, check out and see how many credits will apply to your Mercy degree program before submitting your application.
We understand how important it is to know how many credits you have so you can make a roadmap toward graduation day. That's why we offer a fast turnaround for credit articulation. When we send your acceptance letter, we will tell you how many credits will transfer before you even decide to become a Maverick.
Your specific deadline will depend on which program you apply for. That said, we make all decisions within two weeks of receiving your application. Many of our programs offer rolling admissions with students earning acceptance just a few days after they apply, while others have priority deadlines of December 15 for spring admissions and March 15 for fall admissions.
As you get your application ready, we encourage you to look at your prospective program and determine if you need to submit additional materials, such as a portfolio.
Have any questions during the application process?
Our transfer team is more than happy to help! We also host several throughout the year for potential new students.
